Thai Cooking Classes

Learn how to cook Thai food

Thailand is famous for it's food with Bangkok being the undisputed street food capital of the world, so why not pick up some Thai cooking skills while you are volunteering with V2T? From Thailand's famous Pad Thai, Kau Pad or Tom Yung Kung, our friend Ms. Chawanphat Ninlakha (nicknamed O) can help you develop the skills that are sure to be a big hit back home.

Ms O is an easy going mum and grandmother with good English language skills and her simple village restaurant in Ban Mo is a short distance from the campus offering typical local Isan cuisine.

O is a long standing friend of V2T and we have been supporting her efforts for two years already by sending volunteers interested in learning to cook 'Thai Style'.

The lessons are free although a modest contribution towards the cost of the ingredients may be required for food prepared for your own consumption.

Choose from regular weekly or daily lessons starting at 9am and help O to prepare each dish from fresh local ingredients daily. The culmination of your efforts will be rewarded when you sit together with O and other volunteers to share the food, another important part of Thai culture.
